​NOVA Cheer High School Scholarship

We want to give a deserving student athlete a $1,500 scholarship!

A $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to a student athlete that has participated in a NOVA Cheer member program, and who is known as a credit to their team and community. ​
Applications are due by 11:59pm Jan 15th, 2019
Nominees must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible: 
  • A High School Senior that participated in cheerleading during the previous season, 
  • Participated at least one (1) year as a cheerleader in a NOVA Cheer member program
  • Not receiving a full or partial cheerleading scholarship from any organization or school. 
  • Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher through his or her high school career.

The following items will need to be submitted with the application: 
  • A high school transcript,
  • A one (1) page letter of recommendation,
  • A one (1) page essay describing how cheerleading has impacted his/her life and how he/she plans on applying their experiences in their future career(s).

Our Committee will select and notify the winner by telephone. 
Specific details on the scholarship presentation will be provided to the individual winner by letter.
